Bucklands Beach Teenagers’ Bathroom

Bucklands Beach Teenagers’ Bathroom

This project was requested by a family with two teenagers who needed a bathroom that was elegant, functional and modern.

The bathroom, as it was previously, had only one sink, the shower was small and the toilet was not very functional and blocked the passage into the adjacent shower.

Presenting quite small spaces and given the impossibility of being able to knock down walls in order to enlarge it, I opted for a minimalist style, but which presented the ideal storage for the needs of two male teenagers.

The cladding that includes the floor, walls and shower is a mix of large format tiles in dark marble and classic travertine, I wanted to give this type of contrast to convey style and modernity, and create a contrast between dark and light colors.

The vanity was conceived suspended, and storage was increased using shelves and drawers.

The stone used for the vanity is a rare and very precious Ocean Black Travertine, counter and suspended shelves have all been mitred to 50mm to draw attention to the chosen stone.

To save space, a new toilet with concealed cistern has been installed.

The shower has been equipped with sliding doors, to facilitate passage, a niche has been created for the storage of shampoo and shower gel and the floor has been tiled with a herringbone mosaic.
