Kitchen Italian Family St Heliers

Kitchen Italian Family St Heliers

This kitchen has been completely redone, removing the old one, as the materials were dated, and functionality was lacking.

We have designed this kitchen by enlarging the cooking counter to almost double, in order to increase the storage space and the cooking space, as the owners, being an Italian family, love to cook on every occasion.

The previous island did not have the seating space, the materials and shapes were aesthetically dated.

The new island has been increased both in length and width to facilitate its use for studying (it is equipped with sockets hidden in the stone) or for breakfast and in general to encourage interaction and socialization between those who cook and those who ‘ present in the room.

For the cabinetry, an option of invisible handles was chosen, as it is equipped with negative mitring openings, for the upper cabinetry, instead the option was on push openings.

As regards the splashback, the use of rust concrete tiles was chosen.

The natural stone used for the benchtops and waterfalls is Tundra Grey, a beautiful limestone from Turkey and imported directly here in Auckland from one of our trusted suppliers.

Together with the client, we were able to select the batch of slabs and the cut, in order to obtain a wonderful vein match between the island benchtop and the waterfalls.
